From Baddha Konasana… to Standing!
Can You Do One Rep?
A playful, deceptively tough way to test your hips, ankles, and core—and real-life independence.
Sit-to-stand went viral—but have you tried the butterfly version?
It’s harder (and more fun) than it looks. Hit play (25 sec), then try one clean rep.
Why try it?
- Trains hips, ankles, core, balance—all in one move
- Maps to real life: playing with kids, gardening, getting off the floor
- Builds confidence + independence in under a minute
How to try it
- Sit tall in Baddha Konasana (soles of feet together).
- Lean forward and bring both feet flat to the floor about hip-width (heels a bit in front of your knees).
- Press through your feet and stand up, using as little hand support as possible.
Make it doable
- Need support? Lightly tap a hand to the floor, chair, or wall. Smooth > heroic.
- Feeling strong? Go no-hands—or keep arms crossed on your chest or reaching overhead as you stand.
Keep it playful
Clear a little space, expect a wobble, smile, reset. One good rep today is a win.
Hit playĀ and try it now!
